“I was hoping for a little more— If you don’t, I’m not going to— I can raise the kid on Earth. I’ll take Chris and we can raise it. If you— I don’t want to force a baby on you.”
“I’m not asking you to leave, I just- I need a little time. You have to understand, everything is different for me. I want you to stay Amelia.”
“Pregnant. You know, like knocked up, with child, bun in the oven, preggers. It’s just— I’m late. Like, late late. And I kinda feel like crap, so— It’s possible, isn’t it?”
“Yeah, it’s possible, I guess I just didn’t realize.. I mean is this…do you want this?”
“Oh, well they are quite darling, aren’t they? Then again, so was their mother at this age.” She couldn’t help but grin upon seeing the infants. “Jessica and Danielle. Why am I not surprised? Amy did love those Sweet Valley High books. I wouldn’t be surprised if that was where she selected Jessica’s name. Oh, may I?” she asked, holding out her arms.
"She told me the names just popped into her head.” Theta laughed softly before handing Jessica to her grandmother. “I’m…sorry, that we didn’t tell you. I don’t really have family so I didn’t think to make sure Amy told hers. I suppose her sisters and brother don’t know either…”
“Uh— — — —Nope. I’m innocent, remember? …Okay, maybe one thing. I found that thing. The thing you and Mom keep in the drawer.”
"The…drawer. What were you doing in our room? You shouldn’t have been in there, and snooping through our stuff nonetheless. —Alright, enough lying. I know it was you and I’m through playing games with you. You’re grounded for a week. No TV, no games.”
